Director General of Prisons Anand Kumar said that on 26th July, Azamgarh Collector Vishal Bhardwaj and Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya raided the prison. At that time, 12 mobile phones, chargers and some other objectionable materials were found in the barracks of the prisoners. When the jail authorities were asked in this regard, they could not give a satisfactory response.

Editorial Viewpoint

Such corrupt people should be fired from job and sent to the same prison to serve their punishment ! Due to such people, criminals do not regard punishment as ‘punishment’ ! There is no doubt that the similar condition might be there in almost all the prisons of the country !
