Srinagar (J&K) – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to all citizens to unfurl the tricolour at their homes from 12th – 15th August to under the campaign ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Under this scheme of the Government of India, it is estimated that the tricolour will be unfurled on 20 crore houses in the country; however, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has objected to this. She also criticised former President Ram Nath Kovind. ‘The former President has left behind such a legacy, due to which the Constitution is being trampled on’, Mufti has alleged in a tweet.
#BJP and the #Kashmir district administration’s undertaking to encourage locals to unfurl the Tricolour on the occasion of 75th #IndependenceDay has gathered sharp criticism from former CM & PDP president #MehboobaMufti. | @peerashiq reports. https://t.co/G6ZKFfcIAA

In another tweet, Mehbooba said that whether it was Article 370, Citizenship Amendment Act or attacks on minorities and Dalits, he (Former President) has only fulfilled BJP’s political agenda in the name of the Constitution.
