Unemployed to be given the responsibility of cow-protection

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – BJP Government here has prepared a scheme to establish ‘Gau Sanrakshan Samitis’. One crore rupees will be invested in the next 6 months in its initial phase. In which about fifty villages unemployed are expected to get employment. The Dhami Government has decided to pay up to Rs 5,000 per month to every member of the Gau Sanrakshan Samitis for the protection and nutrition of stray cows through this scheme. Animal Husbandry Minister of the State Saurabh Bahuguna gave this information.

Bahuguna said that,

1. The state Government has decided to increase the annual budget announced for the protection of stray animals from Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 15 crore.

2. “On the lines of UP, we have increased the budget for daily fodder from Rs 6 per cow to Rs 30 per cow,” he said.

3. A person will have to take responsibility for at least four to five cows and at least Rs 900 will be paid for one animal. This project will provide employment to the local people as well as solve the cattle problem. Every member of the Gau Sanrakshan Samitis will be known as ‘Gorakshak’

The Dhami government in Uttarakhand has now planned to provide employment to the people through the formation of village cow protection committees. One crore rupees will be invested in the next 6 months in its initial phase. In which about fifty villages unemployed are expected to get employment. Let us inform that the Dhami government has decided to pay up to Rs 5,000 per month to every member of the Gau Sanrakshan Samitis for the protection and nutrition of stray cows through this scheme.
