Lucknow (UP) – Film actor and Congress leader Raj Babbar was imprisoned for 2 years as well as charged with a penalty of Rs 8,500 for obstruction of Government work and assault but was later released on bail.

At the time of this hearing, Raj Babbar was present in the Court. Raj Babbar had brutally beaten the Election Officers on 2nd May 1996. That time he was a candidate of the Samajwadi Party.
