Three Christians arrested for converting Hindus in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow (UP) – Three Christian missionaries were arrested in connection with the conversion of Hindus in Saharanpur and Azamgarh Districts of Uttar Pradesh.

1. In Azamgarh’s Kandharapur area, an accused named Moharil used to gather people under the guise of treating evil spirits. He used this scheme to convert poor Hindus to Christianity. So far more than 100 Hindus have been converted. Moharil was arrested after Hindu organisations lodged a complaint.

2. Ajay and Anil were arrested in Behat village of Saharanpur. Both are converted to Christianity and were luring other Hindus to convert. Police have also arrested some others.
