Stones pelted from the mosque on the wedding procession of a Dalit Hindu youth in Rajgarh (MP)

The Administration bulldozed illegal houses of accused

The Administration has also demolished the unauthorised houses of the accused.

Rajgarh (MP) – Police have arrested eight Muslim individuals for throwing stones at the wedding procession of a Dalit Hindu youth from a mosque. The Administration has also demolished the unauthorised houses of the accused.

On 18th May at night, a Dalit youth’s marriage procession was passing by the mosque. The Muslims protested against the loud band and asked the Dalits to lower the volume, which led to a dispute. The mob started throwing stones from the mosque. Muslims also molested some women in the procession. Five children got injured in the stone-pelting. The Police have identified 21 people in connection with the incident and have already arrested eight of them. The accused had built illegal houses on Government land in Ward No. 4 of Jirapur. The Administration demolished 48 illegal houses. (If this incident had not taken place, then the Administration would not have demolished the illegal houses. Was the Administration asleep when illegal construction took place on Government land ?  Is the Government going to act against the illegal constructions at other places on other Government lands in the State only after stone-pelting occurs ? – Editor)

Editorial Viewpoints

  • Will those who say Dalit-Muslim Bhai-Bhai talk about this ?
  • Stones are pelted from mosques not only at Hindu religious processions, but also at social events. Why don’t secularists and progressives talk about this ?
  • Are weapons and stones always stored in mosques ?
