Jammu (J&K) – A bus carrying Vaishno Devi pilgrims caught fire on 13th May. The bus was travelling from Katra to Jammu. At least four people were killed and 20 seriously injured in the fire. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating the possible terrorist attack. Terrorists used sticky bombs to set the bus on fire. The Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters have claimed responsibility for this attack.
News just in says NIA has found RDX and thinks this bus ferrying Vaishnodevi pilgrims was attacked by terrorists using IED.

A team NIA on Saturday inspected the bus and found traces of RDX in the bomb. In the preliminary investigation, Jammu and Kashmir’s Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh stated that no explosives were found. However, the sound of the explosion was heard by people on the bus as well as those near the scene.

Hindus in Jammu are no longer safe if this is a terrorist attack. The Amarnath Yatra, which will start next month, is also at risk. As a result, Hindus and their organisations should unite and exert pressure on the Government to provide security. |
