The Supreme Court refused to stay the Survey of the Mosque

The issue of Varanasi’s Gyanvapi Mosque

New Delhi – At the hearing on the 12th of May, the Varanasi Civil Court ordered that the survey and videography of the Mosque and Shringar Gauri Temple should be completed and its report presented by the 17th of May. Permission has been given for opening the locks of the Gyanvapi Mosque. Anjuman-e-Intezamia Masjid Committee of Varanasi filed a petition in the Supreme Court to stay the order of the Civil Court.

The petitioners’ lawyer Huzefa Ahmadi said that this order was against the ‘Places of Worship Act’. To this, the CJI Justice NV Ramanna said, ‘I have no information. How can I give such an order ? I will examine the file of this matter. Give me time to think !’ And he refused to order a stay for the survey and videography.

Editorial viewpoint

O’ Hindus ! Learn from the Muslims ! Till now the survey has been stopped by the Muslims through force. Learning that this method is not working, they decided to use the stick of the law and rushed to the Supreme Court. How many Hindus will show this promptness and act in this manner to protect their Dharma ?
