Jaipur (Rajasthan) – Congress CM Ashok Gehlot organised an Iftar party at his residence on 23rd April. Asif Ansari, the main accused in the riots by religious fanatics at Chhabra in the Baran District on 11th April 2021, was also present at the party. He also posed for photographs with Congress leaders and Ministers.
Regarding this, BJP MLA Pratap Singh Singhvi from the Chhabra constituency said that it is a matter of concern that the accused in the riots attended the CM’s Iftar party. It should be enquired, how he was permitted to enter the CM’s residence.

Special Superintendent of Police Meena said that he had not received a list of invitees for the Iftar. Although Asif is accused of the Chhabra riots, has been released on bail. We do not know who invited him.
