New Delhi – Mayor Mukesh Suryan has said that the ban on meat shops in South Delhi will be strictly enforced for the festival of Chaitra Navratri. “We have given these orders after receiving some complaints. If meat is not sold, it won’t be consumed”, he said.

Suryan added that those who fast for Navratri, face troubles due to the meat cutting and selling in the open. From 8th to 10th April, all the slaughterhouses will be strictly closed.
