Mumbai – “There are various reasons for the increasing atrocities against women in the country. One major reason is the lust and obscenity being spread through films. In 2021, there were 31,000 incidents of violence against women – 84 incidents of atrocities took place every day. This is very unfortunate. India has a rich legacy of revolutionary women who were brave and combative. Only when the bravery of our present day women is awakened can they be empowered in the true sense”, said Sadguru (Ms) Swati Khadye (Sanatan Sanstha’s Dharmaprasarak) while emphasising on the prevention of atrocities against women. She said that women should now be able to take self-defence training for awakening bravery in themselves. She was speaking at an Online Discourse on ‘Jagar Strishakticha’ (Awakening Women’s Power) organised by Sanatan Sanstha on Women’s Day, with the objective of ‘Empowering women and restoring the superiority of women in Indian Culture’. This programme was watched by over 13,000 people through Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘YouTube’ channel.
Sadguru (Ms) Swati Khadye added, “In the absence of Chhatrapati Shahaji Raje, Rajmata Jijau took over the reins of the Government and inculcated the sanskars of ‘Hindavi Swarajya’ on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. If Rajmata Jijau is born in every family, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will also be born in the family. While guiding on Dharmacharan (Abiding by Dharma), She said that applying kumkum to the forehead awakens the Principle of Goddess Durga located at the Anahat-chakra (The fourth centre in the spiritual energy system, located at the mid-chest level in the subtle body). The Scriptures say that wearing sattvik attire creates a spiritual sheath of protection around women. We should take advantage of the Principle of Goddess Durga and spiritual strength through Dharmacharan. Be proud of the Indian culture and traditions”.
The event received an enthusiastic response from the Online attendees. Thousands of women commented – ‘Such Discourses are very inspiring’.
