New Delhi – ‘Half of the current MPs in Nehru’s India have criminal charges pending against them’ Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said while addressing their parliament. Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said during a discussion of the committee’s report on complaints against former Workers’ Party MP that those who fight for their country and gain independence are often exceptional individuals with great courage, great culture, and great potential. With their struggle, they become leaders of the people and the country. Among them are David Ben-Gurion and Jawaharlal Nehru. Loong further said, ‘Nehru’s India has become one where, according to media reports, almost half the MPs in the Lok Sabha have criminal charges pending against them, including charges of rape and murder. Though it is also said that many of these allegations are politically motivated’.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said, ‘If the people in Government maintain the integrity and apply the uniform rules and standards to everyone, then the people of Singapore can trust their leaders, system, and institutions’.
