Simha has not mentioned the name of Tipu anywhere in the letter and has referred to the train only with the train number. The letter states, Wadiyar Maharaj of Mysore Kingdom has made a great contribution towards the development of railways. There is no historical evidence of his (Tipu Sultan’s) contribution to the development of the State during his time.
