New Delhi – The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated enthusiastically throughout the nation. The Indian national flag was hoisted by President Ramnath Kovind on Delhi’s Rajpath. Following it, the military parade, various dance performances and presentations took place.

On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi, Chiefs of all three defence forces and many other dignitaries were present. Similarly, the flag was hoisted at the capital cities of all the States, all the Districts as well as Talukas.
The soldiers on the Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh border hoisted the tri-colour flag with full enthusiasm at the height of 15 to 17 thousand feet. On the Indo-Tibet border, the Police hoisted the national flag at -40°C.
