New Delhi – A very annoying thing has come to the fore that Kartarpur Gurdwara Darbar Sahib’s prasad was found wrapped in cigarette packaging. A devotee after having opened the Prasad wrapper noticed that on the inside of the wrapper was printed, ‘Gold Street International’ brand of cigarette. Since the consumption of Cigarettes and Tobacco is considered an offence in Sikhism, the members of the Sikh community have been opposing it vehemently.

The President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has taken to Twitter to condemn the incident. He said that “Sikh sentiments are hurt repetitively in Pakistan. It appears like a conspiracy to hurt the faith and harass minority Sikhs in Pakistan.
Last month only, a Pakistani model had taken pictures, with her ‘bare-head’, at the premises of the Kartarpur Gurdwara Darbar Sahib. The owner of an online clothing store named Mannat in Pakistan had posted multiple pictures of the model’s photoshoot on social media as an advertisement for the clothing brand. That advertisement showing a model with a bare head had hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community because covering the head before entering Gurudwara has been a tradition in Sikhism.
Sikh sentiments hurt repetitively in Pak
This time Sangat given Kadah Prashad in Cigarette wrapper pages at Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib. This smacks of a conspiracy to hurt our faith & harass minority Sikhs in Pak.
