In the past 75 years, our country did not achieve expected progress because the path chosen was not right : Dr Mohan Bhagwat

New Delhi – Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)’ said in a programme held here that the country could not achieve the expected progress in the past 75 years because the path chosen was not right.

Dr Bhagwat further said,

Since ancient times, Indians have always referred to their land as ‘Motherland’. If we try to keep this stand continually and work as brothers and sisters, nobody can stop India’s progress.

The purpose of social service should not be only to get candidature for elections. Rendering service selflessly is the true service; therefore, one should not serve people for political interests.

People should not only acclaim ‘Jai Shriram’, but they should try to become like Prabhu Shriram.

We don’t want to convert anyone, we want to teach people how to live !

In another programme held one day earlier, Dr Bhagwat had said that ‘we don’t want to convert anyone, but we want to teach people how to live. We are born in the ‘Bharat-Bhoomi and we want to teach the world that our sect can create goodness in any person without making him change his ways of worshipping. We need to have proper coordination with everyone if we want India to become ‘Vishwa-Guru’.’
