Farmers will continue the agitation until farm laws are repealed in the Parliament : Rakesh Tikait

Ghaziabad (UP) – Farmers’ Union leader Rakesh Tikait said in a tweet that the farmers’ agitation opposing the three laws will not be withdrawn immediately. “We will decide on the withdrawal of protests only after the laws are scrapped after due Parliamentary procedures. The Government has not yet clarified its stand on the minimum guarantee price for farm products.  It should discuss this issue along with others with farmers, Tikait said. As soon as Prime Minister Modi declared that farm laws were repealed, farmers agitating on Delhi’s Ghajipur border expressed their happiness by eating sweets.

Tikait said further, “I do not trust the Prime Minister’s speech. Prime Minister had given the assurance of crediting Rs. 15 lakh rupees in each citizen’s account; but how many have received that 15 lakh so far ?  Repealing the laws is the victory for tribals, labourers and women participating in the agitation.”
