
Kolhapur, 10 November – The festival of rays has started on 9th November at Karveer Nivasini Shri Mahalakshmi Temple, which is one of the 3-1/2 Shaktipeethas. The Sunrays had reached the main gate of the temple at 5 p.m. Later the Sun rays travelled from Ganapati Temple at 5.25 p.m., crossed the threshold at 5.35 p.m. and touched the feet of Shri Mahalakshmi at 5.46 p.m.

Pashchim Maharashtra Devasthan Committee Secretary Shivraj Naik informed, “The committee had removed some obstacles from the path to celebrate the festival of rays. Some obstacles will also be removed tomorrow. A digital screen will be installed at the south gate of the temple for the display of the festival of rays. The digital screens will also be installed at Mirajkar Tikati and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue from tomorrow.”
