In the name of Shrirama 3,626 and Shrikrushna 3,309 villages exist

New Delhi – According to the census conducted in the year 2011, there are 3,626 villages in the name of Shriram and 3,309 villages in the name of Shrikrushna. There are also 440 villages named after Shri Ganesh and 35 villages named after Guru Nanak. This information came to light after studying the names of more than 6,00,077 villages in the country

There are 41 villages named Kashi and 17 as Prayagraj in the country.

There are 28 villages in India which are named Dhaka, which is also the name of the capital of Bangladesh, and have 40 villages named Nepal. 187 villages in the country are named after ‘Bharat’ while 160 villages are named after ‘Laxman’. There are 75 villages named after Sita and 367 villages named after Hanuman. There are six villages named after Ravan. But there is no village named after Ravana’s brother Vibhishan.

There is no village named Kurukshetra in the country. There are two villages named after Dharmaraj Yudhishthir. There are 385 villages named after Bhim, 259 after Arjun 8 after Dhrutarashtra, and 42 after Kans. Only one village in Odisha is named after Bhishma Pitamah.

There are 117 villages named after Mahatma Gandhi and 72 villages named after Nehru. Until 2011, no village was named after former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Indira Gandhi has 36 villages, Rajiv Gandhi has 19 and Subhash Chandra Bose has 27 villages after their names.

There are 234 villages in the name of Mughal Emperor Akbar, 62 villages in the name of Babur, 30 in the name of Humayun, 51 Shahjahan, and 8 villages after Aurangzeb.
