14th August to be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day : PM Narendra Modi

  • In the remembrance of partition, every year, the Indian Government should pay homage to all the Hindus who were killed in the direct action of Muhammad Ali Jinnah at the time of partition.

New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that 14th August will now be observed as ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’.

PM Modi tweeted that Partition pains can never be forgotten. Millions of our sisters and brothers were displaced, and many lost their lives due to mindless hate and violence. 14th August would be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day to commemorate their struggles and sacrifices. May the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day keep reminding us of the need to remove the poison of social divisions, disharmony and further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony, and human empowerment.
