Srinagar (J&K) – The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order stating passports will not be issued to those who are found to be involved in stone-pelting cases. They will also be prohibited from receiving a Government job. A circular from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Special Branch, Kashmir, directed all field units to ensure that all such verification be corroborated with local Police. Officials have also been asked to refer to digital evidence like CCTV footage and photographs.
