Haj pilgrims also included in Kerala’s priority list for vaccination in Kerala

All are expected to be protected from coronavirus pandemic; however, a question arises would the State Government have also included Hindu pilgrims while fixing priority for vaccination ?

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – The Kerala Government has added bedridden patients above 18 years, Haj pilgrims, all above 18 years of age in Tribal colonies, volunteers working in the field, Police trainee, judicial officers and staff of High Court and subordinate Courts among others in the priority group for COVID-19 vaccination for age group 18-44 years.

11 more categories were added by the State Government in a decision taken on Wednesday. 32 categories of people belonging to the age group were already included in the group as they were considered frontline workers.

According to the latest decision by the Pinarayi Vijayan Government in the southern State, field workers of Meteorology Department, Metro rails, water metro, Air India field officials, volunteers working in the field, Police trainees and other such categories have been included in the list.
