No 1 rank in national trend!
Mumbai – The temples of our country are presently under the control of the Government. Their condition is extremely pathetic. It has come to light that corruption exists in the management committees of temples which are controlled by the Government. The Government is interfering arbitrarily in the religious traditions, rituals and systems of Hindus. Due to this, the sattvikata of the temples is being destroyed. To oppose this, devout Hindus participated in a Twitter trend by the name #FreeHinduTemples on 14th March morning. More than 3 lakh tweets were made, and by afternoon, the trend was ranked at no. 1 at the national level. Through this Twitter trend, devout Hindus demanded that to change the miserable condition of our temples, it is necessary to stop the control of temples by a secular Government and instead hand over the control to devotees.

Have you ever never seen a case when a Mosque or a Church is being taken over by Government for whatever reason..

Some tweets by devout Hindus!
- Will the Government ever dare to take control of mosques or churches ? Why is it that they dare to do this only with respect to Hindu temples ?
- Devotees donate wealth to temples due to their faith. However, due to Government control, there is no information regarding the further utilisation of this wealth. It has come to light that corruption has been taking place in a few temples. If the money donated to the temples is being misused and if this money is going into the pockets of the corrupt, then why should devotees donate to temples ?
- The money collected in our temples should be utilised only for the religious activities of Hindus. It can be used to provide religious education to Hindus, revive dilapidated Hindu temples, create Gurukuls and so on.
