Compared to 2018 number of riots, murders, rapes etc. dropped in 2019 ! – Central government

The society will experience peace and safety only when the crimes cease completely, and not merely reduce !

New Delhi – Nityanand Rai, Minister of State for Home Affairs, in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha stated that according to a report of National Crime Registration Bureau (NCRB) there was drop in the number of riots, murders, rapes etc. in 2019. He also said that the government is going to digitalize the processes of recording the crimes.

512 riots were recorded in 2018 in India; which dropped to 440 in 2019.

2018 recorded 33,356 cases of rape, 29,017 cases of murder and 1 lakh 5,734 cases of kidnapping. These figures dropped to 32,033 rape cases, 28,918 murder cases and 1 lakh 5,037 kidnapping cases in 2019.

Between 2018 and 2020, 116 illegal infiltrators from Pakistan, 2,812 from Bangladesh and 325 from Myanmar have been detected.
