Islamabad (Pakistan) – After Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh, Pakistani leaders and the army there have started drawing closer to Bangladesh. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has met the head of the interim Government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, twice. Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Bangladesh next month. The Pakistani army will also train the Bangladesh army. Pakistan is suffering in the violence between Pakistan and the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. Pakistan alleges that India is behind this. Therefore, Pakistan is trying to use Bangladesh to carry out operations there to take revenge on India. Najam Sethi, a famous Pakistani journalist and a close aide of Nawaz Sharif, has given this information in a program on a news channel.

Journalist Najam Sethi said,

1. Many years ago, the Pakistani army trained the soldiers who were present in Bangladesh. The training that will now resume will increase the friendship between the Pakistani army and the Bangladeshi army, spread ideology and increase contact. This will benefit Pakistan in two ways. First, the Bangladesh army will become anti-India, which is currently anti- Pakistan. Second, the Pakistani army will get an opportunity to take revenge on India through Bangladesh.

2. India’s biggest fear is Pakistani terrorists. These terrorists can easily enter India through Bangladesh. This type of activity had stopped for the last 15 years during Sheikh Hasina’s time.

3. Bangladesh is constantly demanding that Pakistan apologize for the massacre committed by the Pakistani army in Bangladesh in 1971. Pakistani leaders have repeatedly apologized; but Bangladesh has not accepted it. Bowing to Bangladesh’s demands, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar may openly apologize to Bangladesh during this visit.

Editorial Perspective

A Pakistani journalist has openly said what everyone thinks. This shows how the situation in Bangladesh is harming India. It is incomprehensible that India is still remaining passive in this matter.
