Strikes are a self way of achieving one’s aims while inconveniencing the public by holding them hostage. Crores of rupees of the nation that are wasted due to such strikes should be recovered from the protestors or they should be imprisoned.

New Delhi – Farmers have declared that a nationwide ‘rail roko’ protest will be held on 18th February. Some farmers’ unions have been protesting against the farm laws on the borders of Delhi. The decision has been taken in a meeting held by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM). The protest will be held between 12 noon & 4 pm. It was also announced that starting 12th February, toll collection will not be allowed in Rajasthan. Apart from this, a candle march and mashaal juloos (torchlight procession) will also be organised on 14th February across the country. Allegedly these processions will be held to remember the sacrifice of soldiers martyred in the Pulwama attack.
A body of farmer unions announced a four-hour nationwide rail roko (railway blockade) to be held from 12 pm to 4 pm on 18 February in a bid to escalate the protest against the Centre’s three agriculture laws.
