5,51,000 lamps to be lit at Ram-ki-Pairi

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – On the eve of Diwali, thousands of diyas (Earthen lamps) will be lit at Ayodhya after 500 hundred years. The Deepotsav (Festival of lights) is to be celebrated from 11th November to 13th November. Yogi Adityanath (Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh) will be present for the festival on 13th November.
PM Modi will be virtually (Online) available for the festival.
Devotees will also be able to participate in the festival Online. The Government has launched a portal for this purpose. The website will go live from 13th November.
CM Yogi Adityanath stated that along with Ram-ki-Pairi, all Mutts, Temples and homes will be lit with lamps. Almost 5.5 lakh lamps will be lit at Ram-ki-Pairi. Last year 4,10,000 lamps were illuminated at various Ghats and Akhada campus.
