Film ‘Laxmii’ promoting ‘Love Jihad’ released

New Delhi – The film released as Hindi version of ‘Kanchana’, a south Indian film and with the name ‘Laxmii’ on 9th November was previously titled ‘Laxmii Bomb’. The protest of devoted Hindus had forced to drop the word ‘Bomb’ from the title. A Hindi report channel ‘Aaj Tak’ has reported on its website that, ‘the audience who watched this film in the theatre now expressed that there is no scene or point to name it as ‘Lakshmi Bomb’.
As the film was to release in Diwali, it was named after the firecracker ‘Lakshmi Bomb’!
The report raised the question why the film makers used the word ‘Bomb’ in the title if it had no reference in any of the scenes of the film. Some people have explained over social media that this film was to release in Diwali. Lighting Firecrackers named ‘Lakshmi Bomb’ is in trend during Diwali. So the film producers made an attempt to name the film ‘Laxmii Bomb’.
