Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Secretary of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) Tasleem Rehmani made a provocative statement in discussion forum about Shrikrushna Janmbhoomi on ‘Zee News’ TV channel that, ‘Babri Mosque will be rebuilt even if it would take one thousand years’. He reiterated the statement ‘the mosque was there in Ayodhya, is there and will remain there’. After the anchor claimed that he is making contradictory statements, Rehmani replied that, ‘as we believe in Supreme Court we kept patience even after a wrong verdict.’

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had stated that SDPI was involved recently in the August 2020 riots. SDPI leader Muzamil Pasha was even arrested for instigating the mob.
