
New Delhi – Railway Ministry on behalf of the Central Government has cancelled the global tender of 44 semi-speed train ‘Vande Bharat’. The railways has informed that fresh tenders will be called for within one week. ‘Make in India’ will be given importance in the fresh tender. ‘CRC Pioneer Electric (India) Pvt. Ltd. is the sole foreign company to participate in the bid. For this reason, the Government has decided to cancel the tender and gave a big blow to China. China’s ‘CRC Yongiji Electric Company Limited’ and Gurugram’s ‘Pioneer Fil-Med Pvt. Ltd.’ had started the company in 2015.
Tender for manufacturing of 44 nos of semi high speed train sets (Vande Bharat) has been cancelled.
Fresh tender will be floated within a week as per Revised Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) order.
