#BanAshramWebSeries hashtag is trending on 5th place !
Devout Hindus are demanding a ban on the upcoming web series “Ashram” as it insults ascetics. In this web series, a story is shown with a fictional character “Baba Nirala Kashipurwala”. The web series shows, “An ascetic is committing criminal acts by pretending to be spiritual”. As a result, Hindus and their organisations are demanding to ban this web series. The hashtag #BanAshramWebSeries has started trending on twitter. This hashtag was trending on 5th place at national level. More than 40,000 people tweeted against the web series and requested the Union Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar to ban the web series.
In this trend one person tweeted and asked its director Prakash Jha, “What was the need to create an anti-Hindu web series?” Devout Hindus are demanding a ban on this web series.
What’s in the trailer?
The trailer for this web series has been released. It shows a big ashram of Kashipurwala Baba. He is shown as claiming to directly give people “Final Liberation”. He is shown having connections to political leaders. At the same time, 9 women go missing and their suspicion is taken against Baba. These women are shown to have been kept hostage in this Baba’s ashram. The web series will be released on “M.X Player” on 28th August.
(They claim !) This is a fictional story and is an attempt to show the insult to the traditions of the ascetics !
Why are you so worried about insulting the traditions of the Saints (or Ascetics) ? It turns out that actually they are being insulted rather than trying to stop the insult !
