Kolkata (Bengal) – Three thousand four hundred Hindus were arrested by the Police for celebrating the historic occasion of Ram temple bhoomi pujan in Ayodhya on 5th August. At some places, disputes arose between Hindus and Police administration. BJP workers in Kharagpur had taken out a procession, but the Police administration had stopped it. This resulted in clashes between Hindus and the Police administration. Because of this, some people were arrested.

Attack by religious fanatics on Hindus in Sonitpur (Assam)
Sonitpur (Assam) – Hindus had taken out a bike rally in Dhekiajhuli city of Sonitpur (Assam). Some religious fanatics attacked them. In this incident, 14 people were injured, and their vehicles had been damaged. Police personnel opened fire in the air to disperse the crowd. After this incident, curfew had been imposed in the city. As per the District administrators, the cause for the attack on the bike rally was the slogans raised in the rally.
