Priyanka Vadra asked to vacate Govt bungalow in Delhi

Without holding any Government office, how can somebody be allotted Government bungalow ? Or for that criterion of the member of Gandhi family is enough ? This is a loot of public treasury. The investigation should be conducted in this matter and the culprit should be given life imprisonment.

New Delhi– Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s daughter and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra was asked to vacate her Government allocated Lodhi Estate house in Delhi within a month. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has sent a notice to Priyanka Vadra about the same.

Vadra was allotted the bungalow 23 years ago on 21st February 1997 for the Special Protection Group (SPG) security cover. Priyanka Gandhi was paying Rs.37000/- as monthly rent for her bungalow. In the year, 2000, Government changed the rule that those who do not have SPG security will not be entitled to a bungalow. Apart from this, it was decided that the bungalow will fetch a rental 30% more from the market value which was 50% earlier.

Government decision is revengeful – Congress

Allotting Government bungalow to their own leaders by infringing the rules and Congress supporting them for this act are against law.

Making allegations on Central Government, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, ‘Priyanka Vadra is commenting on UP and Central Government, and that is why a revengeful decision is being taken.’ Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh urged Union Government to withdraw the order.
