Married Indian women in Nepal will be deprived of political rights.

Nepal’s decision to break the family relationship between India and Nepal.
One day, Nepal will realise that whatever it is doing against India on the backing of China is self-destructive.

Kathmandu (Nepal) – Indian women who get married to Nepalese men will have to wait for 7 years to obtain Nepal’s citizenship, and as such they will be deprived of all the political rights and privileges. The decision on this revised law has been taken in the meeting of the Communist party held on 20th June. The Act in regard will be passed in the Nepal’s Parliament. The main purpose behind this is to end the family relationship between India and Nepal.
The Communist Party and Nepal Government are deliberately making propaganda that ‘In India, foreign women marrying Indian men get citizenship after seven years’, but actually, it is not applicable to Nepali women. In terms of the 1950 Indo-Nepal Friendship Agreement, it was agreed that both the nations will give equal rights and privileges to the citizens, but now the Nepal Government is legislating an Act contrary to that spirit.
