New Delhi – ‘I completely understand the need for workers to go home. When the lockdown was imposed, I emphasised that workers to stay put wherever they are. It is human nature to return home. This compelled us to revise a few orders. Now, workers are returning to their villages. They are reaching homes. This poses a grave danger. They may carry infections and spread it. This prevention of infection is a big challenge’, said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while expressing worry over the issue.
The situation caused by the coronavirus and lockdown were discussed at the video conference with the Chief Ministers with PM on 11th May. Various other topics were also discussed in this meeting held through video conferencing.
