The crowd restrictions in force up to 17th May, CM appeals to citizens of Goa for cooperation for implementing lockdown in third stage

Panaji (Goa) – From 4th May, the third stage of lockdown is imposed in Goa. The Goans should cooperate for successful implementation of the lockdown. We will have to strictly abide by the rules of lockdown to maintain the State in Green Zone. The restrictions on crowd will be in force under section 144 in both Districts until 17th May. Citizens are free to move around between 7 a.m. And 7 p.m.; however nobody should leave home after 7 p.m., appealed the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in a press conference organised on 3rd May here.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant further said, “Everybody should be alert so that no coronavirus patient is detected in Goa henceforth. I hope the citizens will cooperate in the successful implementation of lockdown in the 3 stage also. Children below 10-years and elders more than 65-years should not move out of the home. Since Goa is in the Green Zone, many people desire to arrive in Goa now. However, a criterion as to who should be allowed to enter Goa has been finalised. A special train has been arranged for migrant workers and a railway station for this purpose will be selected. About 71,000 migrants have registered with the Government for returning to their native places. Contact is being established for this purpose with the Railway Ministry. A request has been made to start a special train from Goa to UP and other places has been made. However, Goa will be facing many problems once the migrant workers leave the State. Nearly 800 Goanese seamen who are stranded on ships at various places are will be arriving in Goa”.
