‘Loksatta’ should also conduct a poll on ‘Should madarasas be banned ?’,
‘Is it right for Muslims not to recite Vande Mataram ?’
Mumbai – On 7th December ‘Dainik Loksatta’ (A Marathi Daily) conducted an opinion poll on hashtag #LoksattaPoll about the demand raised by Husain Dalwai that Uddhav Thackeray (in the capacity of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra) should ban Sanatan Sanstha. The question posed in the poll was – ‘Is the demand made by Husain Dalwai with Udhav Thackeray for a ban on Sanatan Sanstha correct ?’
In this poll, 41% respondents said that a ban on Sanatan Sanstha would be correct, while 59% respondents opined that the demand was inappropriate. Twitter shows 3,008 participated in this poll.
Many have expressed their disapproval on the issue of conducting this opinion poll. Some have even raised the question – ‘How can Sanatan Sanstha be banned unless allegations against it are proved ?’
One user said – ‘Loksatta has in the process, revealed its anti-Hindutva stance.
Another reader asked the newspaper to conduct an opinion poll on – ‘Is Loksatta’s journalism contracted ?’ It would be interesting to see how many say ‘No’ !
Many have expressed the view that banning Sanatan Sanstha, which is carrying out the mission of serving the Nation & Dharma is extremely incorrect.
