Demand by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha

New Delhi – The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha(ABPS) has passed a resolution against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh and has called forglobal solidarity with the Hindu Community in Bangladesh. Through this resolution, the RSS has demanded that the United Nations intervene.
The resolution passed by the ABPS highlights the following points,
1. The RSS expresses deep concern over the escalating violence, oppression, and targeted persecution faced by Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh at the hands of radical Islamist elements. The Hindu population in Bangladesh, which was 22% in 1951, has now dwindled to just 7%.
2. During the recent political upheaval in Bangladesh, there have been attacks on Maths, temples, Durga Puja Pandals, and educational institutions. Incidents of idol desecration, murders, looting of property, abduction and harassment of women, rape, and forced religious conversions are frequently reported. Dismissing these incidents as merely “political” and ignoring their religious nature is a distortion of the truth, as most of the victims belong to Hindu and other minority communities.
3. Certain international forces are deliberately creating instability in the neighbouring regions of India by pitting one country against another, fostering distrust and conflict.
4. International organisations such as the United Nations and the global community should take serious note of these inhumane acts and pressurise the Bangladesh Government to take concrete steps to stop violence against Hindus and other minorities.
