Kerala High Court slams Police
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) – “Why haven’t the Police taken any legal action against Abdul Hakim for desecrating the sacred Tulsi Vrindavan, which is revered by Hindus?” the Kerala High Court questioned the Police. The Court raised this issue while granting bail to a man named Sreeraj, who was arrested for sharing a video of the incident on social media. (Law-breaking Kerala Police who punish the whistleblower while sparing the criminal – Editor) The Court, in its verdict, directed the Police to initiate legal proceedings against Abdul Hakim. (The fact that such an order was necessary suggests that the Police officers who failed to act should also face consequences – Editor)

Why protect Abdul Hakim, who desecrated Tulsi Vrindavan, while targeting Hindus who merely exposed the crime?

1. Sreeraj’s lawyers informed the Court that while the Police filed a case against 32-year-old Sreeraj for sharing the video, they failed to register any case against Abdul Hakim, who desecrated the Tulsi Vrindavan by placing his pubic hair on it.
2. The Police argued that Abdul Hakim was mentally ill. (Why is it that mentally ill Muslims always seem to target Hindu sacred symbols ? Do mentally ill Hindus ever desecrate Muslim religious symbols ? The Police deliberately label Muslim offenders as mentally ill to downplay the gravity of their actions and mislead Hindus – Editor)

3. Justice PV Kunhikrishnan questioned the mental illness claim, noting that Abdul Hakim was the owner of a hotel in Guruvayur and held a valid driving license.
4. The Court ordered the authorities to investigate how Abdul Hakim could run a hotel and hold a driving license if he was indeed mentally ill.
5. Sreeraj was accused of sharing a video on social media on 12thJanuary, 2025. The video allegedly showed Abdul Hakim desecrating the Tulsi Vrindavan.
6. The Police claimed that sharing the video was intended to incite religious discord. Consequently, they filed a case against Sreeraj and arrested him.
7. Sreeraj filed a petition in the High Court seeking bail, which was granted by the Court.
