Two arrested for converting Hindus into Christians by offering money in Gujarat !

Surendranagar (Gujrat) – Two Christian men have been arrested in Surendranagar district of Gujarat for allegedly luring local Hindus with cash and other inducements to convert them to Christianity. Accused, Ratilal Parmar and Bhanwarlal Pardhi were arrested for allegedly giving Rs 20,000 in cash to some Hindus for conversion. Police are investigating further in this case.

1. Padheria, in-charge of Wadali police station,  said Ratilal Parmar and Bhanwarlal Pardhi had lured Hindus into converting to Christianity. He also claimed that “after converting to Christianity, they will be cured of incurable diseases”.

2. Complainant Ranjit Bhangu has alleged thatboth the accused used abusive language against Hindu deities and insulted the religious sentiments of Hindus. Ranjit Bhangu informed the local office-bearers of VHP and Bajrang Dal.

3. VHP and Bajrang Dal volunteers contacted the Wadali police and demanded registration of a case against the accused. Both the accused have been booked under Section 299 (insult to religious belief) of the Indian Penal Code and the Gujarat Religious Freedom (Amendment) Act and have been arrested.
