Bihar: Missionaries attempt to convert Hindus by offering inducements !

Four people arrested !

Supaul (Bihar) – It has come to light that missionaries from Nepal allegedly attempted to persuade Hindu villagers here to embrace Christianity by offering inducements such as good food, free education, and freedom from illness. Alert villagers handed the missionaries over to the Police.

1. A group of missionaries crossed the international border from Bhantabari in Nepal and reached Bhimnagar in Bihar. From there, they went to a Hindu locality in Banailipatti village.

2. A prayer meeting had been organised at the house of a man named Kishundev Ram. Around 30 to 40 people were present at the gathering. It is alleged that the missionaries attempted to influence the villagers to convert to Christianity by offering money, promising to cure illnesses, and providing good food.

3. As soon as other villagers learnt about the incident, they reached the spot and strongly opposed the alleged conversion attempts by the missionaries.

4. The Police were informed about the matter. They detained four missionaries and took them to Virpur Police Station for questioning.

5. Based on the complaint lodged by the villagers, the Police have registered a case against the accused. Further investigation is underway.

Editorial Perspective

Christian missionaries, as well as jihadis, misuse the freedom of religion to carry out forcible conversions of Hindus; however, no government has been able to stop this. This is why a Hindu Rashtra is needed.
