Christian priest arrested for molesting a minor Hindu girl in Rahata (Ahilyanagar) !

Rahata (Ahilyanagar) – A 58-year-old Christian priest has been arrested for molesting a 9-year-old Hindu girl within the premises of a place of worship in Rahata. The accused has been identified as Sanjay Joseph Pandit. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the Loni Police immediately arrested the accused.

This isn't an isolated incident; perversion within these missionary organizations is a documented global issue. Yet, the Child Rights Commission remains completely silent.

The victim’s statement has been recorded before the Child Welfare Committee. As per the directions of the District Superintendent of Police, the chargesheet in the case will be filed before the court within 5 to 6 days. The Public Prosecutor will also request the court to conduct a speedy trial in the matter.

Editorial Perspective

• Similar disturbing incidents have been reported in many churches and missionary institutions across the world. Why does the Child Rights Commission remain silent about such incidents ? Such cases should be thoroughly investigated, those responsible should be imprisoned, and if such incidents are found to be occurring in churches, the concerned churches should be shut down.
• If a similar incident had involved a Hindu saint or a temple, so-called progressive and anti-Hindu media would have created a huge uproar. However, they maintain convenient silence in such cases. This is their double standard.
