CCTV footage of donation theft at Shri Ram Temple surfaces

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – After conducting a thorough examination of 45 days of CCTV footage from the Pilgrim Facility Centre at Shri Ram Temple, the Police found that five employees responsible for counting the donation money had been removing bundles of currency notes and concealing them inside their clothes or socks. “Unfortunately, the temple administration does not preserve CCTV footage for more than 45 days. Therefore, we cannot say with certainty how long this had been going on,” a Police officer said.

2. So far, the Police team has recovered ₹80 lakh from the accused. The Trust had employed 50 people to count the money collected from the various donation boxes in the temple.
