“If India stops our water, there will be a nuclear war” : Former Defence Minister of Pakistan

Issue of India suspending the Indus Waters Treaty

Islamabad (Pakistan) – “If the Prime Minister of India turns off the tap supplying water to Pakistan, we will never tolerate it. If India stops the flow of water and the international community fails to intervene, this could perhaps become the world’s first nuclear war over water. India and Pakistan are both nuclear-armed neighbours. We are so close to each other that once a missile is launched, there will be no time even to think. The situation could escalate into a nuclear war, and if that happens, Pakistan will give a befitting response,” threatened Pakistan’s former Defence and Foreign Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan during a television interview after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty.

Editorial Perspective

The world wonders whether Pakistan's nuclear bombs are even functional. If Pakistan is truly so eager for a nuclear war, it should go ahead and try !
