Chinmay Krishna Das

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu, a leader of the spiritual organisation ISKCON and a devout Hindu leader in Bangladesh, is facing a serious threat to his life, ISKCON India leader Radharaman Das said in a post on X. He said, “I spoke to Chinmay Prabhu’s mother a few days ago. She became emotional and broke down while speaking about her son. Chinmay Das has been in prison for more than 583 days. During her last meeting with him, she found that his health had deteriorated severely.”

Radharaman Das further said that unless Chinmay Prabhu is immediately taken abroad for advanced medical treatment, his life could be in grave danger. Appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he requested him to intervene and ensure that Chinmay Prabhu is sent to Singapore without delay for urgent medical treatment.

Radharaman Das also said that Chinmay Prabhu’s mother recently suffered a severe heart attack and was rushed to hospital. He appealed to everyone to pray for her as well.

Editorial Perspective

Hindu Dharma accords the highest respect to the institution of Sannyas. Saints such as Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu are also working to awaken Hindus. Therefore, Hindus in both Bangladesh and India should now raise a strong collective voice and put pressure on their respective governments to ensure his protection.
