  • Hindu Janajagruti Samiti's persistent follow-up yields major success !

  • Case of 'Administrative Jihad' at the Government Women's ITI in Solapur

Mumbai, 3 July (News) – Shiv Sena Legislative Council MLA and Chief Whip Prof Dr Manisha Kayande has urged Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to order a high-level inquiry through a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into allegations that around 150 Hindu girl students and nine Hindu employees at the Government Women’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Solapur have been subjected to mental, physical, financial and religious harassment through administrative jihad and institutional harassment, and to take strict action against those found guilty. Taking serious note of the representation, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the Solapur Police Commissioner to conduct a thorough inquiry into the entire matter and take appropriate action.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had consistently followed up on the entire matter. The Samiti had submitted a detailed memorandum to Prof Dr Manisha Kayande, along with the available evidence, complaints from the affected girl students and employees, and relevant documents.

Prof Dr Manisha Kayande personally met the Chief Minister and submitted a detailed memorandum. The memorandum states that, due to the functioning of Mrs Rameza Kampli, the Muslim Group Director of the Government Women’s ITI, around 150 Hindu girl students studying at the institute and nine Hindu employees working there are being subjected to institutional and administrative mental, physical, financial and religious harassment. It further alleges that they are being harassed in various ways in an attempt to force them to leave the institute.

The memorandum further states that the personal information of girl students is being shared with local Muslim individuals, who are then allegedly used to harass them. It also alleges that permanent employees are being financially exploited by the unauthorised collection of ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 from each employee at the time of salary disbursement. A complaint regarding the entire matter was submitted to the Skill Development Department on 27 March 2026. As no concrete action was taken despite repeated follow-ups, the victims have also warned of self-immolation.

Prof Dr Manisha Kayande demanded that the concerned Muslim Group Director, Mrs Rameza Kampli, be immediately dismissed from service and that strict legal action be initiated against her. She also demanded that all those involved in the case be thoroughly investigated and that stringent action be taken against those found guilty. The Chief Minister subsequently issued the above directions.
