Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh states its stand on the theft of donations from Shriram Temple for the first time !

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – The theft of funds from the donation boxes at Shriram Temple is unfortunate. It has hurt the sentiments and faith of the devotees of Shriram. Whoever is found guilty in the investigation being conducted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) should be given stringent punishment, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has stated publicly for the first time in this case.

RSS Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale said, “Shriram Temple was built through the long struggle, dedication and sacrifice of the devotees of Shriram. Today, it is one of the foremost centres of faith for Hindu society. We are all saddened by the incident of theft of money from the temple’s donation boxes. At the request of the Trust, the Uttar Pradesh Government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and commenced an investigation. Whoever is found guilty in the investigation should be given stringent punishment.”
It is hoped that the Trust will now remove all shortcomings in its management and functioning !
Dattatreya Hosabale further said, “Hindu society and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh hope that the Trust will take serious note of this unfortunate incident and rectify all shortcomings in its management and functioning so that the faith of the devotees of Shriram in the temple remains intact. The present confusion and uncertainty must come to an end. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh appeals to all Hindus to maintain patience and courage during this difficult period. The conspiracy of anti-Hindu forces and elements seeking to defame Hindu society by taking advantage of this unfortunate incident must be foiled.”
