‘After Mahmud of Ghazni, the Sangh Parivar and the BJP are the ones looting temple wealth !’ : K’taka Congress

Karnataka Congress' absurd tirade

Karnataka Congress president B.K. Hariprasad

Hubballi (Karnataka) – Claiming that approximately ₹200 crore from the Shriram Temple donation fund had been looted, Karnataka Congress president B.K. Hariprasad criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for remaining silent on the issue. He said that there was no difference between the present-day Modi-Shah duo and the historical invader Mahmud of Ghazni, who had attacked Indian temples and looted their wealth. He further alleged that those who came to power in the name of religion remaining silent over the alleged misuse of money offered by devotees reflected their true character.

Editorial Perspective

Congress itself nationalised temples by deliberately leaving ambiguity in Articles 25 and 26 of the Constitution so that temple wealth could be plundered. Through this, Congress leaders siphoned off crores of rupees belonging to the Deities. Congress will never speak about this !
