National Testing Agency's shoddy functioning !

Nagpur, Maharashtra – It has come to light that ahead of the NEET re-examination scheduled for 21 June, the National Testing Agency (NTA) allotted Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates as the examination centre on the admit card of a student from Nagpur. The student’s name is Abdullah, and while applying for the re-examination, he had selected Nagpur, Wardha and Bhandara as his preferred centres. The student and his parents are worried, as it would be impossible to complete passport and visa formalities within just one day. The student has also expressed fear that he may lose an academic year.
The parents immediately lodged a complaint on the agency’s helpline. The concerned officials admitted that a technical error had occurred and assured them that a revised admit card would be issued after verification. Former Education Minister Dr Anees Ahmed has expressed deep regret over the incident.
