Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) – The investigation of 35-year-old Mohammed Faraz, who was arrested in Bhopal, has yielded important information for the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). According to investigators, Faraz had been searching for extremist material on the internet since the period of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently became radicalised. His objective was to prepare and recruit ‘lone wolf’ attackers. He was reportedly attempting to flee to Afghanistan. The Police arrested Faraz on 12 June from the Congress Nagar (Qazi Camp) area of the city. After four days of interrogation, a special court remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody.

- Hundreds of videos
- Propaganda material linked to terrorist organisations
- Videos glorifying deceased terrorists
